Today was the first day back to Pre-K for Quint – but it was also Keira’s 1st day of school (evah’). Sniffle. I wanted to cry, but I held it together. She was SO READY. Barely a wave backward…and I snuck a kiss before she ran off to play with play-doh. Sob. How can it be that it’s already time for school? That it’s already time for my little girl to hold a lunchbox and wave goodbye to me while she runs to play with friends? How did that happen? I need Chipotle to comfort me. OH THAT REMINDS ME. I have an INCREDIBLE story to tell you about that. No, I didn’t give in – but something spectacular happened and I can’t wait to share that with you tomorrow. Lots to cover for today though…

On the Menu
Breakfast: Cereal, Cinnamon/Sugar toast. Simple but gooooood.
Lunch: I sent the babies with some fun lunch that suits both of their taste buds. So fun! Mama had a frozen meal. I know, I know…but I was working and it was easy.
Dinner: On my own this evening…meaning, no AB to give me plenty of great food to photograph.
But I will show you what I came up with…
But I will show you what I came up with…
Chicken Teriyaki Stir-fry. Don’t ask – I made it up as I went along. But I will say – it was DELISH.
I got AB’s stamp of approval when he finally made it home tonight.

Oh, let’s look at the children again, shall we?
I’ll say it again, because - you know – it bears repeating. How can it be time?
They were my little squishy babies yesterday, I swear it.
By the by…this is what happens after your first day of school, when you’re too pooped to watch your favorite cartoon in mom and dad’s bed…I love it…
You have to come back tomorrow and see my fantabulous awesome story about Potle’. Oh my….

So Cute!! Are those bento boxes for their lunches? I need to get one of those for my Joel. Can't wait to hear the story!!
Christie,
I love the kids lunches. I asked Adam (16.5 years old, not months) if he wanted me to pack him a snack for school tomorrow. Do you think I am ok with his growing up. Um, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Oh my goodness those are some supper cute pre-schoolers!!! Love, love, love those bento boxes of goodness! I so wish I could send Jake off to school with a box like that still! Oh goodness I can't wait until lil Jen starts school! :)
Can't wait to hear your Chipotle challenge! We JUST got a Chipotle here and we've decided that on October first we're eating there for dinner. :) Can't wait.
Anna - Yes, the Bento Boxes are their lunches. Keira's is yellow (she's my meat eater)and Quint has the frog. He's my sandwich boy. I have so much fun with Bento! You can find them on Amazon.com - tons of different kinds.
Y.C. - Girl, I forgot to link to you! I'll be sure to fix that! AND they grow up too fast!
Kayce - GIRL. You have to try it and tell me what you think. Unless you don't like it - then just keep that blasphemy to yourself - bahahaha! I have no doubt your SON will love it. What boy doesn't love a massive burrito. I truly recommend the bowl - because it's easier to eat.
Love the pictures, the kids are adorable! Wow what a mom, a star shaped sandwich. Good job with dinner that's how I usually cook, just wing it with the spices and proportions, it's why my family thinks I've lost it with the measuring I've been doing to be able to post. My oldest daughter checked out our blog though and was thrilled I wrote out my quiche recipe. She wants to make it for her husband and knows I usually just throw stuff together. Keep up the good work, we're 7 days in and counting.
Oh Christie such adorable , cute and kissable little cuties you have! I love the Bento lunch box's. Great pic's. Dinner looks yummy! I love Chipotle. It is delicious! Can't wait until Oct. to go back!!!
I am trying to catch up on posts.
Still in the challenge though.
Hugs,
Jody
