I'm home and I've got a new addiction

Yes, it's true! I'm finally back home in good ol Texas. I was in California for a month to the day, and it was so nice to finally be home again. I do miss my family - and for those who are wondering - Dad came home from the hospital today and it was a very long awaited wonderful moment. Even though I couldn't be there to share it, I did get to speak with him and I know he is so happy to be back home and out of a hospital bed. Let's not even talk about the food!

The hubby is thrilled to have me back and I'm thrilled to be home. Of course, some serious housekeeping, laundry, and a major backlog of work have kept me from posting sooner. But there's just something so magical about coming home when you've been gone this long. It was such a sweet feeling to be back in my home and near my hubby and fur-babies. Even driving my own car, and being back in my town. Such a nice feeling. More to come on the gifts I got just for coming back, in a different post -

Meanwhile, I'm addicted Webkinz....

Meet in order of left to right: Miss Piggy, Miss Chloe, and Froggy. I admit, Miss Chloe looks a little bit like Hellraiser, but not online. They are so darn cute. Go ahead and see this adorable and very kid friendly site for yourself. The premise is, you buy a beanie type pet (see picture above and notice I've bought not one but three!) and then each one comes with a little code. You go to the website, www.webkinz.com and click on "adopt a pet" and it's all downhill from there. I am addicted! You play little games to earn kinzcash and you do daily activities, and you have a little house for your pet that you decorate and buy things for. It should not be fun for adults - but shamelessly my Mom, sis-in law and some friends are pitifully addicted. And my nieces and adult BROTHER! Yes, a man...addicted to a little kiddy stuffed animal website. So, if that doesn't sell you, I don't know what will.

Go ahead...I dare ya...if you're not latched on in a couple days, then you're just not the web addicted junkie I had you all pegged for...

Meanwhile, while I was gone my Secret Pal sent me the cutest little package for Valentines: Here are the pics and thank you, thank you, thank you - you're the best!

(Proof that I've already put the darling frame to good use!)

Also - met with my gang upon returning and surprised the crap out of them, by just showing up but not telling them I was home. I heard they were getting together for just a casual night - and I know some couldn't make it, but man did I surprise the heck out of them. It was awesome. Even better, it was so nice to just sit around in our comfy clothes and just shoot the breeze about life, adoption, - you name it, it probably came up. Also, there was a definite theme rolling through - and that was "DOGS". We had a resident male - and that would be the adorable and charming "Rowdy" who owns Robyn. And then there was the darn near cutest pug I have ever seen, "Lucy" who owns Erin. This little girl is just a baby and despite what you see in the pictures, she was a HOOT-A-NANNY! She ran circles around Rowdy and would not let the poor guy sit for even a nano-second. Good times. Then she just kerplunked and that's what you see in these shots. One regret - no pictures of the serene and lovely "Reagan" - who is Erin's oh so lovable large dog and who handled the two little ones with total patience and gentleness. Couple of good 'uns to show off and add to my Posse slide-show at right -

Until the next post about my "homecoming" gifts from the hubby, which will have you all drooling as much as I did. He's definitely the husband of the year...

Don't say it...I know I have a problem...

The other day my friend said to me "that girl will never be able to wear an outfit more than once" (while referring to Keira). I corrected her..."she will probably not even be able to make it into all the outifts at all, let alone twice!". Having said that...enjoy these pictures of the new additions to my daughter's wardrobe and room in no particular order (that I have waited too long to post on here)...

*note - click any of the pictures to enlarge the them - then use your back arrow to return to the blog.

Daddy picked this out and wrapped this for Keira at Christmas (yes, I'm lame and am just now posting it). It is so sweet and each cut out will have a picture of her in it. He already sees her as his little princess! But really, what a sweetie to get his baby girl something!

My bargain find at Carter's...$3.99 - can't beat that for a cute little red dress!

Love, love, love this little outfit. The shirt says "Mon Cherie" and the outfit has cherry's all over it. (babystyle.com - clearance section!)
Target bargain - each piece was $2.24 - not lying...just gotta be there on the right day. These pants are too cute. Couldn't stand it!

A gift from Auntie Renee...the cutest little outfit. The pants are capris with little butterflies all over them. The matching shoes just make it!

Another darling capri's outfit from Auntie Renee. Love this! Has a matching hat attached.

A $3.28 pargain from Carter's. So soft it would melt you to touch this little onesie. It actually says "Sweetie" at the top by the collar. Sigh!

Another Carter deal...$3.28 - love the little corner of the pants that say "baby" inside the heart!

A gift from Grandma Nila - LOVE Dora and I love this little China Dora!

Keira's Easter Dress for '07. Last year, I missed Keira so much, that I bought her an Easter dress - and I imagined her with her little dress and Easter basket searching the yard for little eggs. This year, I decided it would be a tradition, whether she was here to wear it or not. I know that she will eventually - and at $10 it was too cute to pass up. (Let's give it up for Carter's people!....I know...it's a sickness...)
A whole collection of hair bows and clips from Auntie Laura! Love them!

Ok, well that about wraps this session up for all the things my daughter has waiting for her...and let's be honest - if this were all she had, I actually might have room in the closet to put these things. Or in the dresser...or the two tubs sitting full in her closet...or in the...well, you get the picture. Look, I'm feeling like Keira will spend the first two years of her life being the best dressed baby around (along with all the other M3 Crew babies, of course). After that, it's all up to Grandma's and clearance sales. Do ya feel me?

It's my first child - what can you do? Indulge me!

Hugs ~

I'm still here...

HI EVERYONE!!!!! I'm still here, alive and well, and I bet you thought I was gone for good? Actually, I'm still in California and I'm soooooooooo homesick. I can't stand it! I hate being away from AB and my fur-babies for this long - it's torture...

I just had to post a little love for my dutch boy who sent me the most beautiful tulips today along with a darling little teddy and love note. It was such a wonderful surprise and I was so overjoyed to open them! Let me share...

Gotta love that man! He never ceases to surprise me. Did I mention that he also showed up here a couple weekends ago by surprise? It was so great to have him here, even if it was only for the weekend. What a treat for me to have him...

Meanwhile, my Dad is still in the hospital and hanging in there. I won't bore you with the medical details, but you can check it out here if you're interested. Please continue to pray for his recovery - he's in need of all the prayers he can get. I forsee coming home very soon. I'm ready to call in for backup. I need to go home - I think my job here is almost done.

On the flip side, I've enjoyed some time with my Mom, who I'm very close to. She's very dear to me and this has been a difficult time for her to watch her love suffer. She's doing ok and I'm trying to be as much support to her as I can. We've still managed to have some laughs and some good times together, despite the drama we're immersed in. We took this shot the other day at the hospital. I love it!

Well, I just wanted to pop in - I feel so out of sorts and so lost on all of your blogs. It's been forever since I've let myself sit down and think about catching up and even now, I feel a little rushed. I've been back and forth to the hospital three times already today and I'm beat. I promise to catch up on all of your lives just as soon as I can. I love you guys - and I love my M3 Posse....you girls are my lifeline and I love each of you so much. I can't wait to get home and play with my gals!

Hope everyone is well!!!!

TTFN!
