Birthday Weekend

They are spectacular.  Every single bit of them down to their tiny toes and their wonderful laughs and their sweet voices.  Spectacular.
And I'm not always so great about realizing the good stuff while it's happening.  Not so wonderful at recognizing what a sweet life it is. What a great man I have.  What a blessing my children are to me.  Not so good at it.  The tough stuff takes over sometimes.  Yes, I admit it.  My attitude goes to the toilet and I forget.

But not looking at this.

Never was a birthday weekend more amazing, just for the fact that both my babies were in my arms for it.  How amazing is that, after all these years?  This is the blessing I'm clinging to.

How bout' you?

Yep! We had a birthday boy this weekend too. Man oh man does he think five is like 50! He is ready to drive and give his 2.5 yr old sister a bath and dine on Halloween candy for a year. Yep. It's grand to have a birthday and our youngest and newest China treasure enjoyed herself the benefits of having a birthday brother (cake, cake, cake and balloons!!) yes she did :) As I'm sure yours did as well!

I have been a lurker for a long time, I love the stories and beautiful photos of your family. I also follow the blog of another "adopter" family here http://blessedby10.blogspot.com/ Maybe you can give the help she is asking for to transform her blog?!?

What a better way to celebrate a special weekend and this upcoming holiday season! I think we will be seeing a lot of your beautiful smile these next few weeks! Forget the stress as much as you can and enjoy the gifts you've waited so long to share the magic and memories with! Those kiddos of yours are something else - too cute!!!!
