June, Swimming, and Revisions

Whew...ok...so after two years, a new look on here...a revision, if you will. And updated pictures, no less!

Are you proud of me or what?  I tell you...

And I'm relieved because though it's not as fancy as the previous look - it's my own creation and I'm rather happy with it...(read = free)

And even though it took me eons and eons of eyeball-frying time hours because I am not a whiz at photo-shop...I'm pretty proud that I figured it all out on my own.

Yes, that's me patting myself on the back.  Ahem.

Meanwhile, the previous post stirred up a lot of...well, silence.  So I never know what to think about that kind of thing.  Silence because it was "meh" or silence because it was touchy?  Guess we'll never know.

We've been swimming.  Like, daily.  Oh yes.  And today?  We swam in the rain.  Yes, we did.  Because I waited many a month for summer to get here and my calendar says June and where I come from June is summer and I'm not waiting anymore.  Because Lord help me if I have to spend one more ever-lovin' hour staring at the four walls of our living room with two toddlers when we could be happily ensconced inside floaty thingies and swim-whatsies and slathered in sunblock.  Yes.  Rain or shine.  We are swimming.

Until the thunder hit.  Then it was bye-bye pooly and hello four walls again.  Cough.

Happy Thursday...translation it's almost Friday, ergo it's almost the weekend.  Come to mama...

I think you are AMAZING for being willing to take two "littles" to the pool! And I wasn't silent last post b/c it wasn't good...just a lot to think about...and lots of emotions I'm sorting through...unrelated to your post :)

Love the new look, it looks a little familiar to me :0). It is not an easy feat to do it yourself I know from experience but yours looks great! Swimming looks like fun!

Swimming is fun...whether in the rain or not. Glad you got to get out for at least a little while.

Love the new look and the sunglasses pic. I love little kids in sunglasses. I just caught pic of my daughter headed off to her last day of kindergarten while wearing fabulous striped sunglasses!

Your new look is super great. Kudos to you for making the change. I love the font used in your blog titles and in the headings on the right (i.e., "The Prince"). Would you be willing to share the name? I love fonts and I can see this on a scrapbook page or two in the near future.

Have fun in the pool - so refreshing :-)

I was quiet cuz I'm woefully behind. Like five or six posts behind. On all the reading. And writing my own? Heh. Funny one.

Love the new look. So fresh and summery. and PURTY.

Funny, we opened the pool over two weeks ago. And I haven't been in once. It's still a mite chilly for me. But isn't it awesome how well the little ones sleep when they've spent their days in water? When my bigs were little, I used to fill up the tub and let them play for an hour or so before nap or bed just to wear them out extra. Whatever works, I say :)

LOVE the recent posts. Always good thoughts. Always processing what you say. The reality one is real life. My real life. Right now, I'm surrounded by lap tops, laundry baskets, notebooks, Little People, blocks and pillows from fort-building. It's real life. I can clean up at nap time.

Speaking of which . . . I'm off to get Li'l Empress going toward that end.
