An Apology

I’m not a good blogger anymore.

That’s how I feel.  Like I’ve just given up and life has just taken over.  And the reality is, it has. I love to write – it’s very cathartic for me, but I’m not able to get through a day without sliding into bed in the wee hours and starting all over again the next.

Since I last posted, Anton was re-hospitalized due to complications and infection.  He is home again, but we are struggling to find our new normal.

Summer is here and all the plans we made are a bit clouded over by the recovery process, which has drained all of us of our excitement.

I leave tomorrow for New York until Friday night and I am longing to sit at St. Patrick's again and have some moments to process and catch my breath.

I hope you can bear with me while I take a “moment”.  I miss our talks…

Enjoy NYC. Regroup. Time...it takes time. Hang in there! Summer is a terrific time to simply be; to sit back, relax and restore the body, mind and soul. It WILL get better.

I'm sorry you are facing such a trial with your husband's health. I can often feel overwhelmed at meeting the needs of my children WITH my husband... it must be exceptionally difficult to have him out of commission.

Sending you hugs! I pray you'll be completely refreshed on your trip.

Awwww, hang in there. Take all the time you need. We're still around. I'm not terribly consistent either. Life happens and it's far more important to be present, be there, be connected to that, than to keeping up with a blog. You are a good momma, a good wife. You have your priorities in place. Rest in that :)

We're here when you have time to write. Like good friends, it's not the amount of time we spend together, it's the quality of the time. Take all the time you need and we'll wait patiently. Hope this week is extra special for you!

No need to apologize! Life gets away from us on occasion and that's ok! Hang in there. It WILL get better with time. I hope you enjoyed New York and found some peace amongst the hustle and bustle. I so love NYC!

Happy Father's Day to Anton!
