My heart aches for you. I know the pain of losing your best friend and companion. Our dog Buttercup was our "first baby"...8 years later I still grieve her loss. However, time does heal the wound and strengthen the memories.

I am so sorry to her about your baby. It is always sad when a pet dies. From the past pictures, that was one loved pet. I am so sorry and I hope the kids are doing ok.

I'm so sorry you had to say so long to your Kaleigh-Dog. Our niece and her husband had to say good-bye to their Janie yesterday. So sad for both families.

So sorry. My dog is 13 this year. I can't even think about life without him. He is having a hard time getting around and I know one day, well . I know how sad this is for you. 10 years is a long time, but never enough. God bless

So, so sad to see you lost your sweet pup. You can see in the picture that she had a wonderful kind doggie soul. Sending thoughts your way.

Hi there,
I found your site a couple of years ago (after clicking around on some random blogs) just before you went to get your son. Somehow I lost the link a few months later. Yesterday, your blog popped randomly into my head, and I wondered if you had brought your little girl home yet. Well, a quick google search and a waaayyy too late of a night later, I'm caught up. I'm so glad to read about your sweet family, and I am in awe of your honesty though good times and bad. You are an inspiration for anyone on any stage of the adoption journey.
I'm also so sorry to read about the passing of your beautiful dog. Don't let anyone ever tell you it's not a big deal. My husband and I lost both of our wonderful, lovely elderly cats last year, brothers who had cancer. We rescued them when they were middle aged, and for the first eight years of our marriage they were our babies; a true example of unconditional love. A year later we've rescued two more great kitties and the tears have faded but I will NEVER truly "get over" the loss of my "boys". I think the love between a pet and its family is sacred and special. I hope you have some better days ahead.
Sorry, I didn't intend to write so much... hope you don't think this is weird since I don't "know" you.
Best Wishes,
Jaime in CT
